Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe and popular socialite, Omolara Olukotun popularly known as Larrit recently got into a free for all fight. Friends and partners of a popular businesswoman, Remmy Gold, had gathered at the launch of her new plaza located in Lekki. The event was attended by several movie stars and socialites including Iyabo Ojo, Aigbe, Eniola Ajao and Bimbo Thomas. Drama started after Aigbe and Larrit got into a heated argument. It didn't take long before Larrit threw a bottle at the actress and the two went all physical with each other. It took the intervention of the other guests from preventing the women to cause bodily harm on each other. Aigbe was later seen leaving the party, looking rough-handed with the assistance of other guests. It is not clear why the women got into a fight. The Federal Government has resumed talks with representatives of unions in the nation’s universities,  The PUNCH  reports. The PUNCH  reported last week that the Prof Nimi Briggs committee set up by the government to renegotiate the 2009 agreement was expected to end its three months’ timelines given on June 7, 2022. But investigations revealed that the committee would meet Academic Staff Union of Universities on Monday (today) while the Joint Action Committee of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and allied institutions would have their meeting on Friday. “We are meeting the FG committee in Abuja on Monday,” a source in ASUU said. Mavin headquarters needs bigger car park, Don Jazzy cries out

Mavin Records label boss, Don Jazzy, has cried out that the headquarters of his label needs a bigger car park space. He made this plea recently in a video he posted on one of his official social media handles. In the video, Don Jazzy lamented his inability to get a parking space for his car. “We might need a bigger Mavin HQ. No space to park cars again o.” Don Jazzy began. “This is what they call progressive company (refering to Mavin records). I come work, no see space to park (laughs) I have to park outside. On our social media watch today, we saw reports on how Two Nigerian guys who were allegedly online scammers and duped a Mexican client of $1.6million. A twitter lady revealed how two yahoo boys burnt to death by a Mexican man who lured them over to Mexico after they scammed him of a whooping sum of $1.6million and he made a down payment of $400,000 with $1.2million to balance . It appeared the ‘client’ knew he was being duped so he led them on to coming to his country an reportedly burnt them alive. 2 Nigerian guys duped a Mexican to the tune of 400 thousand dollars, expecting another 1.2 million. Not knowing the man had discovered he had been duped, he managed to lure the fraudsters to come to Mexico to collect the remaining balance. See what happened to them

Indians love the Galaxy S22 Ultra more than any other premium phone

The “super-premium” segment includes phones priced at INR 100,000 ($1290) and above, and Samsung captured most of it with a volume market share of 81%. The Galaxy S22 series was the main driving force behind Samsung’s success in India in March. MTN says 60 million of its customers have linked their NIN

By Collins inc As Telecommunications company, MTN Nigeria has said that approximately 60 million of its customers have linked their National Identification Number (NIN) with their SIM as of April 25, 2022. According to the company, this represents 85 per cent of its subscriber base.  as   of April 4, 2022, when the government directed the telcos to bar outgoing calls on lines that were not yet linked, MTN says 19 million of its subscribers were affected. However, as of April 25, 8.7 million of those restricted submitted their NINs for verification, out of which approximately 1.2 million have been reactivated, MTN disclosed in its Q1 financial results that its subscriber base as of March 30, 2022, stood at 70.2 million. This means that over 10 million of its subscribers were yet to link their NIN as of April.
